Experience: Print!

On the 2nd June 2015, our team headed down to Sunshine Plaza in order to find out more about what it would take to print magazines. Things like cost, materials and printing shop to be used were to be settled there and then if possible.

We visited a number of the printer shops that were opened at the time, with around three we managed to make proper inquiries at. Generally speaking though, given the number of printing places in that area, price rates for each of the shops were pretty much identical to one another, with only slight variations here and there with regards to bind prices. Our final choice was based on other factors. These stores are the only ones we managed to make successful inquiries at.

True Colors Print House Pte Ltd

This was the last of the shops we visited, and ultimately our final choice for printing. The staff were accomadating and their print samples were laid out neatly in a book for us to see. What sealed the deal was that they offered perfect binding for the magazine, unlike the previous stores we had been to. Not only that, but they took the time to explain we needed an A3 cover for that binding type.

Ben Quick Print Services

This was the second store we made inquiries at, which was an improvement over our visit but still didn't really meet our needs. They had their paper samples laid out quite neatly, but they had limited binding options for our magazine, Ultimately, we didn't find this store quite satisfactory.

Poster Connection Pte Ltd

This was the first store we visited when we arrived at Sunshine Plaza. The sample book they provided us was of pretty poor quality, but we still managed to get proper samples of the papers directly. Binding options were similarly limited, so we moved on from the store quite quickly.
